Mansa Devi Temple

Mansa Devi Temple is one of the Most Popular and Ancient Temple in Haridwar . The temple is Situated in the Holy City of Haridwar in the State of Uttarakhand in North India . According to my Point of View no one is deprive from this temple . The temple is dedicated to Lord " Mansa Devi " in the Form of Power . The temple is located at Top of Bilwa Parvat on Shivalik Hills near Ganga River . It is said that If Pilgrims pray the Goddess of Mansa Devi in the bottom of Pure Heart can get their Hoppies or desires fulfilled by the blessings of goddess Mansa Devi.

Devotees who want their wishes to be fulfilled by Mansa tie threads to the branches of a tree located in the temple. The Main idol of Devi enshrined in the Mandir consists of 5 heads and three arms of mansa mata .Millions of Devotees Come with their Family from Different parts of Country to Visit this Powerful Temple . Gradually the temple become the most popular Tourist Chardham Yatra Destination Source of North India .

History and Legend :



Unlike Kedarnath or Badrinath there is History Behind the temple .According to History , First the Mansa Devi Temple was Constructed by the Maharaja Gopal Singh of Mani Majri During 1811-1815 A.D . It is Said that Mansa Devi was the wife of Nag Vasuki and brainchild of Saint Kashyap. It is said that goddesses Mansa and Chandi, the two forms of goddess Parvati always reside close to each other. There are three Peethas Devi Temple located in Haridwar - Mansa Devi Temple , Chandi Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple .

The Mansa Devi Temple during Navratras and Kumba Mela held . Millions of devotees pay obeisance during Navratra Mela held in Ashwin and Chaitra months and Temples remain open throughout the day. Visitors can purchase incense sticks, garlands and fruit to offer to goddess Mansa Devi, spouse of Nag Raja Vasuki.

Mansa Devi Temple is located at a distance of 800 mt from Har ki Pauri. The temple is 2kms for Bus stand or Railway station . Mansa Devi Temple by taking local Buses, rickshaws, Tongas or by hiring taxis from Haridwar
